Learn to construct an effective Visual Storytelling piece! You can apply all of the technics to your photography whether you are using a pro DSLR, a point and shoot or a smartphone to document life.
Why do some photos engage people more than others? Do famous photographers get lucky or is there a secret? How can I make people feel and experience what I felt when I was taking those photos? If you ever asked yourself any of these questions or if you just want to keep people more engaged with your own photos, then this class is for you.
We will go through the main creative techniques that are used by professional documentary photographers and also will learn how to plan a story before you start taking photos and how to choose the best photos to create a compelling visual story.
We will experience first-hand what it means to create a story distilling the essence of the visual narrative from a large amount of beautiful imagery. We will work with images created by famous photographers and create our own interpretation of events.
To help you apply what we’ll learn in the class to your own photography we will also discuss:
