Art journals are illustrated diaries and journals on any theme you like.
Keeping an art journal is a beautiful way to be creative and spend time connecting with your inner artist. Journaling can seem difficult to do when we are faced with white blank pages. What do we put down? Where do we start? In this class we will explore using an old op shop book. The aim is to take away the anxious feelings of needing to come up with ideas to put on the blank pages.
This class offers ideas and tips for creating and keeping your own illustrated journal. Use your creativity, explore different ways of art journaling, build your confidence and nurture your creative spirit.
Art journals can be a record of your daily thoughts, a travel journal, a dream journal, a place where you jot down your goals or achievements, almost any record that you’d like to keep in a book or notebook. They become “Art Journals” when you add illustrations and embellishments to the pages.
We’ll look at:
Aqua studied art and design and has always been interested in exploring ecologically conscious and practically applicable art made from recycled materials. She loves finding free resources that are not being recycled commercially to turn them into appealing and useful objects. She also paints, sculpts and sews, and is always looking for new material applications and techniques. She likes to apply her art to stage design and decor, window dressing and set designs.
